Cumin (Jeera) is known as the annual herb with long slender root. Grows up to 50 cm tall. Mother has innumerable branches with green leaves and white flowers or pink. Digestive Disorders: To cure digestive disorders such as nausea, gallstones, indigestion, dyspepsia, flatulent colic and diarrhea, is that the decoction prepared by boiling the seeds in water with 1 teaspoon of coriander leaf juice and salt should be taken twice a day to get beneficial results.
Piles: to cure hemorrhoids, it is recommended that 70 grams of roasted seeds and soil should be taken with water twice a day to get beneficial results.
Insomnia: For insomnia, it is advised that fried cumin powder should be consumed with plantains, before retiring to bed to have beneficial results.
Colic Kidney: To cure this ailment is advised that black cumin seeds should be mixed with black salt and cumin, along with the vinegar and the mixture should be taken in 4 Gms amount after each hour to beneficial results.
Common Cold: To cure the problems associated with cold and cough, it is advised that the decoction prepared with seeds of boiling water along with dry ginger should be taken twice a day to get beneficial results.
Amnesia: To cure this ailment are advised the cumin powder mixed with honey should be licked twice a day to get beneficial results.
Boils: To cure boils, it is advisable that paste made from cumin seeds with water should be applied over the affected area for beneficial results.
Scorpion sting: To address this problem, we recommend the seed paste mixed with onion juice should be applied over the affected area for beneficial results.
Apart from this, which has many uses. It is widely used as spices in food preparation such as curry, sausages, soups, cakes and breads. It is an important ingredient in chutneys and pickles.
