I want to find a big piece tin (or what ever metal magnets adhere too) like the size of a poster or at least something 24X36 and up for a magnet board for a kitchen to put those stainless steel spice jars and hooks for kitchen utensils etc... DO they sell it at Lowes/Home Depot?

check the hardware stores like Lowe's or Home Depot. You may have to get them to cut a sheet the size you want, but YES, they have both inexpensive tin stuff and Stainless Steel sheets.
