Tips for making your own pizza?

I made a chicken wang pizza a few days ago with some friends, it was aight, but I want to make a more traditional regular cheese pizza.

So I buy the dough that's ready to bake at the market...I have some of this organic pasta sauce that I could use for the sauce, it's delicious (never tried it on pizza but I'm sure it would be great). And then I will shred some fresh mozzarella to put on top. And sprinkle on some fresh italian herbs.

So that's pretty much it....the only tricks I do is use cornmeal to prevent it from sticking, and when I bake it for around 20 minutes at 400 degrees, I remove it from a pan to directly on the bottom rack of the oven so that the crust is nice and crispy and not soft or soggy. I could also try rolling some mozzarella up on in the crust for stuffed crust.

Any other ideas or tips? Like additional cheeses to use, or special herbs or spices? Thanxxx

I LOVE making homemade pizza. A great ti[ I learnt about rolling out the dough, is put cling film on your work surface, put the dough on then another large bit of clingfilm and roll. It will stop it cracking and sticking.

How I make it is to roll it out into the pizza shape, put oil over a baking tray. Put it under the grill each side first.

Also, you can mix in a little pesto with the pasta sauce and I use garlic, basil, oregano herbs. Then I put cheddar cheese, stilton cheese on and my other favourites are adding salami, chorizo, onion, sweetcorn & green peppers.

Thewn put in the oven undtil it's lightly bubbling.
