Herb And Spice Blends

Ja! Everyday African Spices

China think Colonel Sanders is Chinese?

Cause I was looking at a picture of him and he kinda looks like an old Chinese man. And it made me think that perhaps his grandfather built the railroad through U.S. and was Chinese. Like what if Colonel Sanders was the grandfather of work on the railroad and his paycheck went and slept with a prostitute in the West that was pregnant. Then she had the baby and to him in an orphanage until the day his father grew up and moved to Kentucky, thinking all sorts of revolutionary blends of herbs and spices to make fried chicken prefect who taught his son Colonel Sanders. Colonel Sanders then extended the empire of fried chicken with the world's largest fast food chain. http://freemasonry.bcy http://www.kipnotes.com/sanders_Colonel320x240.jpg http://www.themediadrome.com/Images/food/colonel_sanders.gif. ca / bio / images / sanders_h.jpg

This question is hilarious. I took a picture of KFC, when I was in China and everyone who has seen it has said it appeared that Colonel Sanders was altered to look more "Chinese", which is not realized until it was pointed out to me. All I can say is that ordered the chicken dumplings there and they were disgusting!

Ideas on how to use blends of fresh herbs

Sometimes you just get tired of using the same old recipe that you know at the same time after so long. But we are all so busy that we are looking for an easy way to spice up are repertoire. One way to forget is that many cooks use blends of herbs to add subtle flavor distinctions. The French have been doing this forever.

The French never use just one herb that is in the dishes, but rather a mixture of herbs garni they call a "branches". Do not be intimidated by the fancy name, meaning simply a bunch of herbs. The herbal blend of flavors subtle but distinct added to each dish to prepare. The trick is to get the perfect combination for the grass so that no one dominates the dish. You want to be delicate flavors.

With only classes of herbs that you can change the flavor of a recipe instantly. Now, the old recipes have added spark and have a lot of "That's Greats". It aims to create a complex flavor that is balanced by having each guest wants immediately take another bite. There are of course different for each recipe garni. You want to accomplish the right herbs and spices that complement each other. You want to use the correct relationship between the quantities of each herb you are using.

For meat-based dishes, stews, stocks and soup, the old tried and true garni of parsley, thyme and bay leaves still apply. But one step further and add a touch of citrus (lemon, lime or orange) for a little zip. The formula for this garni is 3 sprigs parsley, 1 sprig thyme and 1 bay leaf. Get a piece of kitchen string and tie the package together. Viola, just add the package to your dish and remove before serving. Please use fresh herbs, are much best. If you have to use dry, sprinkle the herbs on a piece of gauze and tie the cloth together with the chain. . Fine Herbes and Herbes de Provence are other classes that use of French in your kitchen.

You can buy these at the supermarket or gourmet store, but why not make your own. Chop fresh oregano, thyme, marjoram, savory and Herbes de Provence, marjoram. Add a tablespoon of each to his plate. This combination can also be used in salads, meat dishes and vegetables.

The English version of Herbes de Provence is the sage, rosemary, marjoram, chives, Italian parsley, tarragon and thyme. Mix together and use lamb, pork or filling.

Fine Herbes, mix the chopped parsley, tarragon, chives and chervil. Experiment with the amounts. Be adventurous! Be careful when you note that are experiencing so that you can duplicate the successes and disasters mix. Remember, creating beautiful savory dishes is one of a craft than an art.

You will have to identify the flavor and strength of each herb that can be grouped into mild or strong. Examples of herbs are basil, bay leaves, dill, chervil, and marjoram. These herbs combine well with most herbs and their milder flavors during the cooking process. With herbs you can use larger amounts and greater variation. Can also be used in salads and other dishes where the leaves are not cooked or briefly cooked.

Your herbs robust against the kitchen. Often used for grilled or roasted meat or poultry, soups, stews and even the food on the grill. You have to work in the recipe since sometime in the herbs subtly alter during the cooking process. Or you will be more moderate or in some cases intensify. You can always combine with herbs. Robust herbs include sorrel, the rosemary, garlic, oregano, sage, tarragon and thyme.

Another easy to use fresh herbs is the taste of fresh oil or vinegar with a mixture of herbs either mild or strong. You need very glass bottles (preferably dark) and a tight seal. In short the combination of herbs in the jar, add the oil or vinegar, seal and let sit for several weeks. The oils should be stored in the refrigerator. Herbs add subtle flavor to the liquid and a delicious variety of ways.

You can make dyes really healthy with fresh herbs. But I ask you to dominate the kitchen with herbs before branching into other areas. Al know exactly how each of the herbal flavors of each dish that you know instinctively what their use in dyes.

Again, be adventurous, mix and match, further trying new things and keep notes so that their successes can be repeated. After you have mastered cooking with herbs, who knows? Maybe you will start a garden of herbs so you always have delicious fresh herbs on hand.

Here's to good cooking!
