Garlic Powder For Horses

Garlic, Vinegar, and other fly repellent?

Now I heard feeding garlic repels flies? What kind of garlic do you feed? A powder or...? And Vinegar, do you feed the vinegar or spray it (which is what I heard) and how much do you use? Will this make pink skinned horses burn if you spray with it?

Anyone else know things BESIDES spray that repel flies?
I'm asking cause all the sprays I get burn my pink skinned paint.
I use sunscreen now, and fly masks but would like her to be happy and not burned this year.

I fed my horse apple cider vinegar. It wasn't very much at all - maybe just a couple tablespoons per meal. He smelled of vinegar, but it kept the flies away!
