Can I have a recipe for salad with these ingredients?

This is what I have on hand to make a green salad. a bag of spinach, fresh tomatoes mixed greens red onion and fresh dill lemon oil vinegar parsley garlic cucumbers, blue cheese, fresh orange peppers dried herbs much honey smoked bacon, apple sausage spicy jalapeno itailian frozen corn could mozzerrella parmeson comes with a great salad recipe using at least five of the above ingredients including a vinaigrette to dress the salad.

Here is a recipe vinaigrette I love ... 3 to 4 tablespoons olive oil 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice, Dijon mustard 1 1 / 2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 / 4 teaspoon ground cumin 1 / 4 teaspoon salt 1 / 4 ground black pepper I also like: 3-4 tablespoons olive oil-extra virgin Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper 3 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons lime 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley juice I mix some mixed greens, tomatoes, red onion, cucumber and pepper, a little bacon and cheese would make the perfect filling for a salad delicious! Yum!

Garden Shop Product # 3 How to dry mushrooms and dried bean storage

During my 30 years of experience in gardening, I have encountered many situations where I had to improvise in order to adapt to changes in our environment to accommodate my needs of plants. I've adjusted and learned a lot and I'd like to share my experience and success as well as my "setback" on the road. This item is not included and must be shared with Parts 1 and 2 of this series. (See below)

Storage Beans: Beans can be stored in moisture resistant, wing outdoor containers. With proper preparation before storage, which can last up to 30 years. Dried beans are better preserved in the absence of oxygen and light. The oxygen causes the oil produced from grains to be stale. Light quickly discolor the beads. Nor is it compatible with the long-term storage. On the other hand, the storage cooler temperatures and low humidity enhance and prolong life.

Beans stored in food grade bags, Polyethylene is the life span of a year. This situation is common in most of the products and is not an option containment storage adequate long-term.

Canning beans: First, make sure that the inside of the bottles are washed and dried thoroughly. Remember Moisture breeds decay rapidly. Oxygen absorber packets should be added to the flasks to remove oxygen and extend life.

Fill the jars with about 95% of its capacity and make sure the cover gasket is in good condition. Close the jar, then store in a cool, dry place and dark. Note: oxygen absorption packets should be kept in a sealed container until ready for use. It is only necessary to remove within 20 to 30 minutes.

If you are using plastic buckets, first of all, an ounce of dry ice per gallon in the bottom of the bucket. Pour the beans on dry ice less than an inch from the top. Place the lid on the bucket, but not completely sealed until the dry ice has dispersed. When the bottom of the bucket starts feel warmer, place the lid tightly. If it starts to swell after a few minutes, open slightly to relieve pressure. View to ensure that the pressure has decreased, this may take several days for accuracy. As a precaution, no cubes are stacked high as the weight could damage the containers three lower.

How to freeze the beans: frozen dried beans only last about 2-3 months of hydrates. In general, a rule per pound or 2 cups dried beans, use 6 cups of water to return. Pour the appropriate amount of grain and water in a large pot. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons oil and 1 teaspoon salt. Bring to a boil then cover the pan and let it simmer. Always make sure the beans are completely covered by adding more hot water when needed. The amount of time varies depending on the type of bean. Storage Mushrooms: Mushrooms Choose to show a uniform texture and strong color everywhere. Select also those in which the tops are completely closed. How to dry mushrooms, when dried mushrooms, which are actually removing all moisture from the mushrooms own decline. Moisture breeds. The following drying method can be applied to buttons, Moral, and my favorite mushrooms, Portobello. Drying time usually takes about 8-12 hours.

The best way to dry the mushrooms is in a food dehydrator to 110 degrees. If a dehydrator is not available, a convection oven to 100 degrees surffice. A regular oven or conventional is not recommended because it tends to cook the mushrooms instead of just drying. On a hot summer day, you can also chain with sliced mushrooms heavy thread leaving enough air space between them and hang them in the sun. Then transfer the mushrooms to wind a dry, warm, with good movement air to finish the job of evaporation of moisture inside. If the dried mushrooms in the winter, place the sliced mushrooms in a screen on or near a wood stove, water heater or other warm, dry places.

The smaller the slices or mushrooms, if dried whole, the shortest time is taken for drying. If you tend to wash the mushrooms before drying, I would not recommend, simply rinse quickly under running water. You do not want wet before drying. You can use a brush mushrooms or damp cloth to gently remove dirt that may stick to the skin.

When I'm drying the button mushrooms, usually to dry Younger everything without cutting them up. I like small floating in my soup or stew recipes. The buttons act like a sponge and absorb all the flavors of the recipe and tastes absolutely delicious. I love the most " flesh "nature of portobello mushrooms and cube in ½ inch pieces. They will have extra drying time up to 12 hours, sometimes longer. Keep checking them towards the end of the drying period so as not to end up as dust.

Dried mushrooms should be soaked in hot water or liquid recipe for one hour before use. You want the remains of the soaked mushrooms to float in the background, stress, and then use the liquid to add to your favorite recipe for additional flavor.

The best way to store mushrooms is to place the dried mushrooms in clean jars with rubber stamps in a cool, dry place. You can also use rigid containers airtight plastic, but only if you add oxygen absorbing packets, as mentioned above with the beans, the jars or containers to remove moisture and extend shelf life. I do not recommend the use of storage bags zip lock. That trap moisture and cause rot fungi. Store dried mushrooms in a cool and dry.
