Great tasting organic seasoning.

I have converted my kitchen to organic spices and had been making all my spice mixes from scratch. It seems like a lot of work but worth it for knowing what's in our food. I had been using Simply Organic Taco Seasoning, so thought I'd try their fajita seasoning. I'm not sure why they only specify chicken as the meat, but I have used it for beef and shrimp. It has a great flavor and I plan to continue to use this and their taco seasoning.

This Ortega Taco Seasoning is CHIPOTLE flavored and is not easily found in grocery stores, so get it here! This is Chipotle heaven for spicy food lovers--like high octane tacos. Very versatile to add to recipes like their other seasoning packets. Two thumbs up and let's eat!! Once again, with Amazon Prime this is a GREAT deal to have on hand for year around recipes.

How i became the sauce goddess. the sauce goddess story begins with my dad. he loved to barbecue and i loved to help him. he was on a mission to create a non-smoky bbq sauce because there was nothing available on the market back then but now there is because of sauce goddess! dad was a pioneer in the sauce industry and did not even know it. his grilling sauce is famous among our family and friends. after years of helping dad, my love for grilling and cooking grew. my favorite place was the kitchen or behind the grill creating all types of recipes. i would experiment on my family and friends. everyone loved the magic sauce and it began to build a reputation. finally, after much encouragement and many dares from friends, i knew my mission was to bring dad’s very unique sauces to the world and start a food company. by this time i was following in dad’s steps creating my own sauces! i have no idea how it started but people began to refer to me as the “sauce goddess”. the sauce goddess line of products now includes: sauces: sweet & spicy grill glaze, sticky sweet grill glaze, gluten free big & tangy sauce and the sweet red devil sauce. spice rubs: original super chunk, bbq sweet heat, moroccan twist and latin heat. sauce goddess is very proud of the success and awards we've won but our biggest accomplishment is helping busy people enjoy delicious, healthy, affordable and innovative home cooked meals quick and easy whether it be on the grill or in the kitchen.

• Put your grill to good use by preparing your own fajitas at home. Pronounced "Fa HEE tah," it is a tenderized beef skirt, grilled over mesquite, and accompanied by salsa, guacamole, refried beans, onions, peppers, sour cream and warm flour tortillas. For those who like their meat on the light side, try the chicken version.
• To prepare beef fajitas for six, you will need: 3 lb. beef fajitas (or flank steak), 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice, 4 tsp. fajita spice. Sprinkle mix over 3 lbs. prepared fajitas, adding 1/2-1 tsp. salt to taste. Sprinkle 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice. The lemon juice can be omitted and the seasonings used dry if desired or soy sauce can be added with the lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight then grill to desired tenderness.
• To prepare chicken fajitas for six, you will need: 3lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast, 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 4 tsp. fajita spice. Sprinkle mix over boneless, skinless chicken breasts, add 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup soy sauce, let marinate for desired length of time. Grill to desired tenderness.
• Store unused spice in an airtight container. This packet will make two of the above recipes.

My mother inlaw got ahold of this somewhere a year or so ago. I love this seasoning. i use on lots of stuff not just fajita. its good on hambergers,steak, shrimp etc. when grilling its a must have. be careful though it does have a lot of pepper but i love spicy.
