Hot breakfast: Sada roti with Bodi (long beans), double baking (a sweet bread without yeast) and the Shark, baking fry (fried bread as a Jonnycake), fried aloo (potatoes), roasted Baigan (eggplant, aubergine or melongena) Tomato Choka (often served with roti), salt fish (dried and salted cod), buljol (salted fish with sweet chile, tomatoes, cucumbers and boiled eggs sometimes), milk coconut black with homemade bread, fried Accra (saltfish fritters), taro cakes (fried taro cake) and boiled cassava with butter, fried figure (banana green) with salted fish, fried left-over provisions (tubers such as cassava and taro) with salted fish, fried meat with onion and canned tomatoes.

Cold Breakfast: homemade loaves, including baking, coconut baked, warm bread and cheddar cheese hops, local people and biscuits (cookies), "Crix" with anything.

Lunch and dinner

Chicken Curry and Roti

A main dish known national of Trinidad and Tobago is the curry chicken and roti. This dish was taken of workers hired of India in the 19th century, where other local favorites include crab curry, curry shrimp, curry duck, curry aloo (potato). These meals are often served with dalpuri diverse as rotis, bus-up-close, and of course Sada. In addition, the Trinitarians often add more pepper sauce to your meals, for example, "mother-in-law" and mango curry, chataigne (Ramon), Channa, pumpkin, mango or Kuchela. Another dish popular and well known nationally with distinctly African roots is callaloo, creamy and spicy dish of taro leaves, ochro or okra, crab, thyme, coconut milk and Shado Beni (from "Bnito chardon, French or thistle Fitwear) or bhandhanya (Dhanya hindi bandh "closed cilantro) or coriander. Callaloo is often prepared with cornmeal Coo Coo, banana, cassava, sweet potato, and sometimes made with crab. Pelau (pilau Hindi), a dish of rice, is very popular dish in Trinidad and Tobago, and stewed chicken, breadfruit oil down cake macaroni, Pepperpot, ox-tail, among many others.

Trinbagonian dishes are usually cooked, grilled or curried with coconut milk.

A variety of fish can be purchased at local businesses throughout Trinidad and Tobago, such as fish flying fish, king mackerel, sapatay, red fish, tuna, lobster and crab shell. Tobago food is dominated by a wide selection of seafood dishes on However, the curried crab and dumplings, and Tobago is also known by its provisions sumptuously prepared soups and stews, also known as blue food throughout the country.

Trini is a popular dish of macaroni pie, a baked macaroni pasta with eggs and cheese, and a variety of other possible ingredients, as which an individual, of the many recipes that are following.

Another dish includes rare delicacy cascadu (cracks), which is a small freshwater fish. There is a local legend in Trinidad that s / he eats cascadu return to Trinidad to end their days.

Street food

Hot Street Food: Popular street foods include freshly brewed double phulourie, bake and shark (especially in Maracas Bay, a popular beach on the north coast), roti with curry shrimp, corn soup, chicken Geer (jira Hindi, "damn") and pork, raw oysters (usually where there is a torch) with a sweet spicy / hot sauce with cilantro or chadon mainly beni (Eryngium foetidum), Saheen, kachori (Hindi kachuri), aloo (alu Hindi, "potato"), empanadas, fish cakes, cheese cakes, meat pies (many neighborhoods have a local Trinidad Pie-Man), and prisoners of war (pao-tzu Cantonese baaozi <, 'the Steam wrapped roll stuffed with sweet or savory) - steamed buns filled with meat, usually pork char siu.

Cold Street Snacks: On hot days, the local enjoy souse, snow cones (served in several colors, flavors and shapes, often with sweetened condensed milk), ice-pops, Freezie, iced coconut jelly fresh coconut.

Food Festival

Special Christmas food includes Pastelles (called hallaca in Venezuela, where it originated), garlic, pork (Meat-d'alhos Vinha, a Portuguese dish), boiled or baked ham, turkey, peas, fruit cake (or black cake), ginger beer, punch-de-crème, and sorrel.

Include Barfi Diwali special foods and Prasad.

Eid Special foods include sawain.

Desserts

The popular local desserts tend very sweet. local snacks include mobile phone and cassava or potato cooked guavas, sweet bread balls, papaya, tamarind balls, balls of benefits, toolum, cheese guava (guava paste), jub jub and sugar cakes. local chocolatiers and pastry manufacturing different kinds of candy. Indian specialties as khurma, Gulab jamoon, Barfi Ladoo and are also popular.

Beverages

There are many different popular drinks in Trinidad. Among them, several sweet drinks (sodas) (Chubby, Solo, Peardrax) and Malta, Smalto, Shandy, Portugal juice, ginger beer, peanut punch, sorrel, mauby, seamoss punch, punch barbadine, and soursop punch.

Coconut water is found in almost all the dimensions of the island. Rum was invented in the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago therefore has rum shops around the island, serving local specialties, such as punch-de-crème, rum punch, and homemade wines from local fruits.

Fruits available in Trinidad include mangoes (bastapool, belly-BEF, squash, cedar, machete, doudouce, Graham, ice cream, Julie, long, papaya, Pedro, pink, round, starch, adolescents, turpentine, vert, zabrico), bread, passion fruit sorrel (Jamaica), watermelon, loquat, pomerac (samarangense Syzygium), guava, apple of Tahiti (pommecythre or golden apple), star apple (star apple), star apple, Five Fingers (carambola), cherries, zaboca (avocado), papaya (papaya), Chenette (suckling), pineapples, oranges, Portugal (clementines different breeding), plum governor of the West Indies (Barbados) cherry (acerola), bananas (siky, silk, Gros Michel, Lacato) barbadine (Granadilla), Balat, soursop, cashew, and coconut (several varieties).
