Chicken Biryani: The Indian way of preparing
Originated in Iran, the word 'Biryani' is derived from the Persian word. It is a classic recipe - biryanis are prepared by different combinations of rice, spices and meat. and the mother Recipe offers RTC spice mixture to make delicious Chicken Biryani - Here is the recipe that develops the secret of a tasty chicken biryani.
Ingredients:
basmati rice - 2 cups
Chunks of chicken - 3 / 4 kg
Onion - 3 large, sliced
Yogurt - 1 cup
paste Ginger - 1 tsp
garlic paste - 1 / 2 teaspoon
Green chile paste - 1 tsp
tomato puree - 1 / 2 cup
Red chili powder - 2 teaspoons
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
cumin powder (roasted) - 1 tsp
cardamom powder - 1 / 2 teaspoon
Garam Masala powder - 2 teaspoons
Milk - 1 / 2 cup
Saffron - a pinch
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
The green leaves of cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Water - 3 1 / 2 cups
Oil - 7 tbsp
Salt as needed
Method:
1. Make a mixture of tomato puree, yogurt, garlic paste, ginger paste, green chile, red chile powder, turmeric powder, roasted cumin powder, garam masala, coriander powder and salt.
2. Take the chicken and marinade in the same mixture. Let stand for 3-4 hours.
3. Put oil in a frying pan and fry the onion until golden.
4. Now, this is added the marinated chicken and cook the whole mixture for 10 minutes.
5. Then in a pressure cooker, take the rice and add 3 1 / 2 cups water to it. Also take a saffron mixed with milk and add rice.
6. Finally, add the cardamom powder and pieces of chicken with the marinade.
7. Mix all ingredients carefully, cover saucepan and cook the pressure of a whistle.
Garnish with green coriander leaves and serve hot.
